JSW STEELS LTD
SISCOL established an Integrated Steel Plant ( 0.3 Million ton per annum) and commenced production in phases (1994-2002). ICICI approved for change of promoter in 2005 & also to increase the plant capacity to 1 Million ton per annum at an additional cost of Rs.1200 crores and merger of SISCOL with JSW Steels Ltd.
- A Joint Venture with Jindal Group.
- The first integrated Streel plant is established at a cost of Rs.2,235 Crores.
- Located at Mettur, 40 KMs from Salem.
- Product mix includes TMT Corrosion resistant bars / alloy steels.
- Plant capacity : 1 Million tonnes per year.
- Plant is running profitably and declaring dividend every year after merger with JSW Steels.
- Employment generated : 2000 persons
