AGRI EXPORT ZONE ( AEZ )FOR Cashew At Cuddalore

An agreement was signed on 12.4.2005 between APEDA, GOI, Agriculture Department, GOTN for setting up an Agri Export Zone for Cashew at Cuddalore covering Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Perambalur, Pudukottai and Sivaganga Districts at a project cost of Rs 10.36 crores. Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business is the Nodal Agency .

M/s. Sattva Agro Expo Private Limited Chennai is the Anchor promoter for the establishment of AEZ for Cashew at Cuddalore.

AEZ – Components – Nursery , new varieties, facilities to produce value added products storage, testing labs, collection centers, training etc.

Project : Tamil Nadu is a major producer of Raw Cashew. The Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India has approved to set up AEZ Cashew in Tamil Nadu. Feasibility report has been prepared. The project proposed by the promoter is given below.
